Join Eat Local NOLA for an evening celebrating AAPI Heritage Month at The Broadside on Tuesday May 27 as we welcome Chef Nini Nguyen for a special book signing and demo from her cookbook and Eat Local's Book of the Year, Đặc Biệt.
Born and raised in New Orleans East, Chef Nini brings her Vietnamese-American roots to life in Đặc Biệt, a vibrant love letter to home cooking, family traditions, and the unique fusion of Gulf Coast and Southeast Asian flavors. Guests will enjoy a cooking demonstration and have the opportunity to meet Chef Nini and get their copy of the book signed. We'll also feature a creative activity to make bookmarks with local pressed flowers — a beautiful way to commemorate the evening and take home a piece of local artistry.
This event is held in partnership with VEGGI Farmers Co-op, a community member-owned and operated farmer’s cooperative based in New Orleans East.
