East Flatbush Back-to-School Block Party at Community School for MLFA

Calling all East Flatbush parents, caregivers, and middle schoolers!  

University Settlement’s Community School at the Middle School for Media, Law, and Fine Arts (MFLA) will host a Back-to-School Block Party where members of the community can meet our team and learn about our program offerings.  

The day will also include:  

• Free backpack give-away (supplies limited, first come first served) 

• Bounce house  

• Free food and snacks 

• Music 

• Local vendors 

“At the Middle School for MFLA, we promote academic success by supporting students’ well-being, centering their voices and choices, and building positive partnerships with families,” said program director Kayan Soverall. “Join us at the Block Party to learn more about how our program provides thoughtful, flexible support to our young scholars as they begin charting their own futures.”
