Fellowship • Plant magic • Connecting with nature • Healing nourishment

Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to plant medicine, natural foods, land tending and/or earth-based spirituality, let's come together with other green hearts to learn from, celebrate and respect the natural world.

Come to one gathering or come to all! Each month will hold a different activity depending upon our place on the wheel of the year. In August, we will have a circle in the woods, learning the plants of deep shade and also spend time harvesting and getting to know Jiaogulan.

We'll talk all things plant; have Q&As on foraging, feasting, earth stewardship and soul food; hold a tea ceremony with herbs we collect oursleves, share grief and praise, eat wild and more! We will follow the season’s lead for engaging directly with the land's bounty, have fireside chats in colder weather and circle inside the gathering room if it’s stormy. We'll create a container to share our authentic selves and grow closer to the earth and cosmos: the elements, directions, flora and fauna, our own spirit and each other.

Each gathering will include:

  • Plant id practice and learning medicinal & edible gifts of our green friends
  • Tea ceremony with plants we harvest ourselves
  • Honoring the sacredness of life through earth-based rituals
  • Fellowship and shared lunch
  • A giveaway station: bring something(s) you don't want, take away something you do!
  • Participation in green-based activities/crafts, depending on the monthly theme
  • Optional: explore the mile-long nature trail after the gathering

Gatherings will be led by Mary Morgaine Squire, aka Mary Plantwalker--earth steward, writer, ceremonialist and plant guide. Read more of her work at Earth Devotions.
