Earth Despacho Ceremony: A Sacred Offering to Pachamama

In the Andean cosmovision, despacho ceremonies are sacred acts of offering and gratitude, known as haywariska in the Q'ero language. These ceremonies involve creating a mandala-like bundle of natural elements—such as herbs, grains, flowers, and coca leaves—infused with prayers and intentions. The act of crafting and presenting a despacho is a profound expression of ayni (sacred reciprocity), munay (unconditional love), and pachakuti (cosmic balance).
This ceremony has been handed down to me, Simmy Malhi, your facilitator, from my teachers, Lorraine Stern, Juan, and Ivan Nunez, and is rooted in ancient Andean traditions.

We’ve lost our sense of connection—with nature, each other, and ourselves.
This ceremony is a call to restore the Sacred Hoop through sacred reciprocity, healing, and remembrance.
In this co-creative despacho ceremony, rooted in ancient Andean tradition, we’ll make an offering of flowers, seeds, herbs, and prayers to Pachamama (Mother Earth)—and in return, receive grounding, insight, and deep alignment.

What to Bring
• A natural, biodegradable item (like a flower, seed, shell, feather, dried herb, or a pinch of tobacco) to place in the despacho.
 Choose something that holds meaning to you—a prayer, a memory, a wish. This is your sacred gift to Pachamama.
• Comfortable clothing & water (we recommend dressing in layers and bringing something to sit on, like a cushion or blanket)
• Your open heart
• Optional: Bring your own water or get a tea from the awesome tea bar at the Center to keep you refreshed during the ceremony

This is not a performance or workshop. This is a sacred act of remembrance—an invitation to reenter right relationship with the living Earth and the unseen world.
It is a moment of healing, offering, and listening—to yourself, to the ancestors, and to nature itself.

Who is Simmy?
Simmy Malhi is a sacred guide and founder of Exquisite.Earth—a transformational movement devoted to awakening the divine within.
A devoted student of the Andean and Huichol traditions, Simmy has been deeply influenced by her teachers Lorraine Stern, Juan Nunez, and Ivan Nunez. She walks the red road through her participation in the California Moondance with Susana and Shimshai, and continues her studies with Abuela Teresa Rivas.

As a certified non-linear movement and holographic sound healing practitioner, Simmy holds space for powerful breakthroughs—helping others release trauma, dissolve limiting patterns, and return to the truth of who they are. Through her work at Exquisite.Earth and in sacred ceremony, she supports soul-led seekers in rising into their purpose with clarity, courage, and deep spiritual connection.
