Join us for our first Live Music Library Session! Intimate gigs celebrating local musicians in the cosy surroundings of our research library.

We welcome local folk-punk musician DAN!EL STEPHEN TURNER as our first performer. Releasing his latest single ‘Paracetemol’ - a charming and storied song with a likeable hero at it’s heart.

With punk rock roots and an old folk soul, Daniel Stephen Turner takes a heart on sleeve approach to songwriting. Seeking catharsis and understanding, his music is open, honest and passionate.

Deriving influences from Post-Hardcore to Americana and firmly rooted in the rock tradition, his acoustic live performances are an essential addition to the East Anglian music scene.

About the new single: You know that feeling when you go to Three Wise Monkeys in Colchester and you meet Nick Parker and you have a chat about what you do and then 2 months later you bump into him at Here For The Music Festival in Bideford and he asks what time you’re on even though you’re just a punter and then at the end of the weekend, when you’re at the The Palladium Club and you get a headache, you pop to a local shop for some painkillers and they don’t have any but then you bump into Nick again down by the water and he gives you some paracetamol?

Please note: this session will be taking place in our room upstairs at the minories.

We will be live streaming this event. For further details email : eastanglianfolklorecentre@gmail.com
