“E-Motion has created a space where grief can be held gently, even for a few minutes each month. Sometimes, that's exactly what we need.” Chief Clinical Officer | Help TEXTS
Overview
Sacred Circles are an opportunity for grievers to gather together to honor and turn toward a life-disrupting loss. These monthly circles, held via Zoom, are intentionally short (just 15 minutes), free, and open to anyone who is looking for a brief but powerful encounter with their grief.
Sacred circles are not sacred in a religious sense, but draw on the ancient tradition of circles to create community through an intentional shared space.
- Date(s): The first Wednesday of every month.
- Time: We offer two virtual circle times to accommodate different time zones - 9:04am EST and 9:04am PST.
- Why 9:04am on Wednesdays? E-Motion Founder Myra Sack's first daughter, Havi, died at 9:04 am on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
- What to Expect: Our circles are intentionally short, roughly 5-10 minutes, and include a gently guided facilitation that centers on our values and on the power of movement, community and ritual. In circle, we will invite attendees to be on camera and share the name of a person in their life who has died, but we also welcome those who prefer to stay off camera and experience the circle in private.
