Co-presented with San Francisco Public Library

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Vietnamese diaspora. The current literature reflects the diverse imaginations and innovations of this complex community. From literary fiction, graphic memoir, and experimental poetry, to science fiction, gothic horror, and young adult fantasy, Vietnamese American writers are exploring and challenging themes, topics, and genres in every facet of literature. In this panel by the Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network, we will hear from Van Hoang (middle grade, YA), Hieu Minh Nguyen (poetry), and Christina Vo (memoir) on the future of diasporic Vietnamese literature.
