Step into the world of durrie weaving, one of Rajasthan’s oldest and most enduring textile traditions, in this hands-on workshop led by master artisan Cheenaram Mundel. Participants will learn about the process of making these handwoven cotton floor rugs, from preparing the loom and selecting patterns to understanding the traditional motifs and colour palettes that define the craft.

Guided by Cheenaram’s expertise, this intimate session offers an opportunity to try weaving techniques yourself, while gaining insight into the artistry and heritage of the Marwar region’s weaving communities. Open to all skill levels, this workshop is a celebration of craftsmanship, tradition, and slow, handmade processes. All materials will be provided, and the workshop is open to all skill levels.
