Duncan Hines Duck Paddle

Come float the beautiful Drakes Creek in the Duncan Hines’ Duck Paddle.

Race for prizes or take a leisurely float down Scenic Drakes Creek from Saddler Ford to Woody Atkinson Rd. All skill levels and abilities are welcome. Don’t have a boat? We’ve got you covered!

Single and Tandem Kayaks are available for rent. Adaptive boats/disabilities also welcome. All participants will receive a swag bag of goodies, including a box of Duncan Hines cake mix, and be entered to win door prizes from local businesses and organizations.

After the race, participants will be shuttled back to where they parked for our block party and drawing of door prizes!

*Participants under 14 must be accompanied by an adult (in tandem kayak or canoe.) Participants 14-17 must also be accompanied by an adult, but they may each float their own craft. Race starts at 8am; it’s a 6-mile float (approx.. 1.5-3.5 hours)*

* Participants under 12 must provide their own life jacket*

BYOB Participants will deliver their boats to the creek and then park at the block party location. We will shuttle them back to the starting line.

Renters can drive directly to the block party location to be shuttled to the starting line.

Detailed parking, transportation, and race information will be emailed to participants no later than 7 days prior to the event.

Packet pick-up will be Thursday, June 5 from 5:30-7:00 at Hot Rod Alley. Any packets not picked up will be distributed on Paddle day.

All Duck Paddle participants will receive a discount code for $10 Hot Rods game tickets for the Thursday night game.

Due to catastrophic damage to Romanza Johnson Park Road and high water levels on the Barren, we have been forced to seek an alternate location. While it is a further drive from Bowling Green, it is one of the most beautiful floats in South Central Kentucky.
