As the founder of Helms Workshop, Christian leads a team of designers, writers, and strategists in building, amplifying, and revitalizing brands. Great work results from strong partnerships, and Christian has enjoyed a roster ranging from global icons to stand-out startups: Southern Comfort, Whole Foods, Jack Daniel’s, Tecovas, Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain, New Belgium, Nestle, Diageo, Circuit of the Americas, Diageo, Everlywell, Nestle, and Target are listed among Helms Workshop’s client partners.

Christian’s work has garnered international recognition, publication, awards, and even a gold record from the Recording Industry Association of America. He’s been branded one of Time Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places, helped Willie Nelson come out in support of marriage equality, earned a spot in Communication Arts 60-year Evolution of Creativity, and made global news for a small craft brewery in Austin with his ridiculous idea for the world’s first 99-pack of beer.

Christian counts the highest points in his career as the moments where he’s helped his clients succeed in ways far beyond even they could have imagined: His 2018 brand refresh helped Tecovas triple revenue to $30MM, and he rebranded Southern Comfort for a $544MM sale by Brown Forman to Sazerac. Diageo acquired Lone River Ranch Water after less than 12 months in the market, and Rhinegeist Brewing is consistently listed as two of the nation's fastest-growing breweries.

Christian often speaks and writes on branding, business, and creativity. He lives in Southwest Austin with his wife, Jenn, their two sons, and rescue terrier Ziggy.
