Overview

Get help understanding DSS child care assistance! Our DSS Liaison can answer questions & share resources. Bring your documents!

Have questions about child care assistance through the Department of Social Services (DSS)? Stop by our Parent Support: Child Care Assistance Session! The Just for Kids’ DSS Liaison will be available to answer general questions about how DSS child care subsidies work, how to apply, and to share helpful resources.

While the liaison is not able to determine eligibility, approve applications, or walk through the process step-by-step, they’re very knowledgeable and can help you better understand how the system works and what to expect.

There is also office equipment available for use — including a printer/fax machine/scanner, laptop, and Wi-Fi — to complete or submit your application on site.

It’s helpful to bring any documents you may need for your DSS application, including:
• Identification for everyone in your household (including proof of citizenship for each child)
• Income verification (such as pay stubs or other proof of employment/income)
• Proof of residence
• Work or school schedule
