DSquared Homes for the Homeless mission statement: "We are on a mission to prevent homelessness and the stigmatization of those living with mental health challenges." DSquared Fashion for Sustainability is an impact-focused collaboration between fashion industry stakeholders, charity organizations and community leaders who strive to lift others while lifting each other.
Our goal is to raise awareness and funds for Dsquared Homes for the Homeless and its various initiatives, facilitate connection between community leaders, and provide a platform for both aspiring and experienced fashion designers to showcase their skills.
This first-ever show features a Plastic Bag Competition, where designers are called and challenged to turn recycled plastic bags into unique garments that stand out and grab attention. These attention-grabbing looks will help to bring awareness to DSquared and its mission.
Alongside the competition, you’ll also see a showing of non-competition garments that follow themes aligned with this event: sustainability, mental health, homelessness awareness, etc.
