Join Dry Soda, The Dames, and Bar Zero for a Dry Mixer and Panel Discussion where we will enjoy delicious appetizers and zero-proof beverages, using Dry Soda and prepared by Bar Zero. Participate in a panel discussion and Q&A with representatives from the Sober, Sober Curious, and Sober Allied Communities and meet and connect with the community.

This event will benefit Bar Zero, a 501(c)3. Bar Zero's vision is to create space for connection and community building for people in recovery from substance use disorders with each other and with the larger community. All funds will help to kick-start Bar Zero's Catering (BCZ) business with additional staff and equipment as well as BZC's day to day capital needs as we grow.

This fun event will include 3 zero-proof beverage stations, featuring creative, craft non-alcoholic beverages using Dry Soda Co. products! Our panel of sober, sober curious, and sober allies will tackle some interesting and thought-provoking topics around sobriety.

Dry Soda Co. is a Seattle-based beverage company led by Sharelle Klaus. Klaus started Dry Soda during an alcohol-free period in her life where she found herself frustrated by the lack of interesting non-alcoholic options to pair with a meal. Her frustration led to a soda company offering sophisticated beverages that pair well with food, serve as a delicious mixer in a zero-proof beverage, and which are also complex enough to stand on their own.

The Dames is a Denver-based nationwide membership community of women who own or lead rapidly growing six and seven-figure organizations. The founder, Meghann Conter, a former grey area drinker, quit drinking 2 years ago and loves spreading the word about accomplishing more while living a healthier lifestyle.

The Moderator:

Debbie Scheer is a humorist, emcee, and auctioneer who 16 months ago said, I’m done feeling sick and tired and I’m done using alcohol to mask all the things that needed to be brought into the light and dealt with in a way that didn’t involve alcohol.

The Panelists:

Matt Salis: Matt is an alcoholic in permanent sobriety battling the shame and stigma associated with addiction, and helping others find freedom from alcohol through soberandunashamed.com

Megan Rogers: Megan is a proud teetotaler, local psychotherapist, and gray area drinking coach who supports her clients to live unapologetically joy-full and booze-free lives.

Emily Schrader: Emily is a mother and entrepreneur who has not had a drink in over 14 years. She has dedicated the last decade plus of her life to working in addiction treatment, prevention, and recovery and is now making her way back into the restaurant world in a new capacity, as Executive Director of Bar Zero, a nonprofit catering business, zero-proof bar and (hopefully) soon to be brick and mortar restaurant and dry bar.
