Drop-in Writing Group
Overview
Bring your work-in-progress or a blank page and new idea, and write alongside community members surrounded by books! This event is for everyone who wants to write more but has trouble finding the time and space in their busy schedule.
Loosen up your writing muscles for 15 minutes with some provided writing prompts. Once you're warmed up, crack open that WIP, continue the prompt, or start something new entirely. Use the time as you see fit.
No critiques, no readings, just a space to write, time to do it, and gentle encouragement from your fellow writers.
This writing group is for adults.
Meet the facilitator:
Charlie Slate (he/they) is a local writer whose love of the arts brought him to Providence in 2017. He attended and subsequently mentored at the Champlain College Young Writers Conference (CCYWC) in Vermont. During the summer, when he's not writing, you can find him ankle-deep in the creek looking for rocks and minerals to identify.
