Dress Up For Laughs!

The purpose of this session is to provide healthy adults basic knowledge about using laughter to improve their overall well-being. We will learn how to incorporate laughter into our daily lives and what benefits it brings to the body and mind. This session is intended for adults 18 to 105 years old.

In the spirit of fun, we invite participants to come to the learning session wearing their favorite funny costume.

We will:

• Understand the historical key figures of laughter therapy.
• Describe laughter therapy and its intent.
• Identify the mental health benefits.
• Recognize the importance of planning, being intentional to incorporate laughter.

This program is based on the Ohio State University Extension program "The Health Benefits of Laughter". It is educational and the content is informational. This program is not a substitute for medical care, counseling, or treatments, and it is designed as holistic wellness education.
