Nine storytellers compete for prizes, sharing true stories of the joy and struggle in raising children — and being one — those messy, tender, transformative moments that shape family and identity.

Inspired by The Boy Who Could Not Dream, a children’s book about a boy and his first harmonica, this event brings the blues into storytelling — raw, real, and full of soul.

It’s where grown folks crack open the moments that shaped them — the chaos of raising kids, the fire of being one, and all the scraped knees, deep sighs, and gut laughs in between.
