About this event
Moonzescope and Flow by Lian are so excited to collaborate with Jillian Marshall on this 2-day Dream Mapping workshop!
Day 1: Tuesday, July 29th 6-8pm (doors open 5:30pm)
Day 2: Monday, August 4th 7:30-9:30pm (doors open 7pm)
DESCRIPTION
Dream Mapping is a two-part, hands-on workshop that explores the landscapes we visit in dreams through discussion, meditation, and artistic practice.
Day One invites participants to learn about dream symbolism, informed by Native American and Sufi mysticism as well as Tibetan dream yoga— and outlines techniques to help us better connect to our dreams.
Day Two is where we visualize our personal dreamscapes through painting, enacting an experiment in mapping the collective unconscious while inviting us to ask: what if our dream scapes are all part of the same world?

WHO
Jillian Marshall, PhD, is an educator, author, musician and artist based in Brooklyn. Having consciously left academia, Jillian centers her teaching practice on ideas deserving of (but not necessarily receiving) rigor and attention. She has taught language as well as seminars and workshops on history, music, and mysticism since 2019, and is dedicated to bridging gaps -- between academia and the public sphere, the subconscious with the collective, the dreamed with the material -- in her work.
