Drawing Class: COLORED PENCILS / Ways to COLOR MIXING (WTDP211)

In this workshop I will explain some color mixing, related to the traditional color wheel, then we will analize some artworks done with this amazing media. Afterwards I'll share some reference images to draw from. You can copy one of them as you see the one you chose, or you can instead make your own creation, even an abstraction based on one of these images on the screen and after what I explained on color.

I will show on my cam how to use the pencils and also some tips on how to start to draw the chosen image itself on the screen if needed.

You don't need to know how to draw for this session. You can be a beginning student as well as intermediate or more experienced one. The idea is to enjoy drawing with this fun material at the same time we are learning. Everyone works at their own pace and level

At the end you can share your work on cam/via chat if you want to.

MATERIALS:

For this class you need to have:

• Colored pencils
• A couple of white sheets of drawing paper (A4 size will be OK, better if it's softly textured)
  You might need to have an eraser and a sharpener
• A hard surface (drawing board) might be of help too.
• Have extra paper, e.g. regular white computer paper, to try your pencils and color mixing.

If you have water soluble pencils and want to try adding some water, have:

• Watercolour paper to work on
• A brush
• Paper towel
• A container with clean water

This is not a demonstration-only class, and it's not recorded previously. Classes' contents are never repeated/the images we draw from either.
