Welcome to the Dragon Scale Binding Workshop!

Come join us at Red Bird Press for a hands-on experience in creating stunning dragon scale bindings for your books. The Dragon Scale Binding, sometimes referred to as a Whirlwind binding is an ancient Chinese book structure dating back to the Tang Dynasty. When assembled, the pages are layered which allows them to flip, showing an image on the reverse. Participants in this workshop will select two images to use when creating their book. All materials are included.
