About the Program

What was the state of public health 100 years ago?

Join Jacqueline T. Lynch, Vice President of the Chicopee Historical Society local author, as she shares a medical examiner's logbook spanning 1918 to 1940. This logbook was kept by Samuel Fletcher (1867-1943), a physician and former mayor of Chicopee.

Find us in the Bazan Community Room, on the lower level of the Chicopee Public Library.

Free parking is available in the library lot at 449 Front Street. On-street parking is also available along Ames Avenue and Front and Bell Streets.

The Chicopee Historical Society is a non-profit dedicated to the rediscovery and preservation of Chicopee's history. In pursuit of this mission, the Society preserves artifacts related to the city's history and presents six educational programs in Spring and Fall.
