'Come fish with us' for FREE at one of our Try Fishing Sessions across the state. Learn the fun of fishing, in a safe and fun environment at a local waterway.
All the equipment is supplied, just come along with a smile and appropriate fishing attire, for your chance to wet a line and talk all things fishing. Please note our sessions are short, enabling you to turn up at a set time and get to try fishing by wetting a line, and not needing any preparation or investment in fishing gear.
FOOD Allergy Warning - Shellfish (prawns) are provided as bait, if allergic you are encouraged to rethink your attendance.
Bookings are essential as places are limited. If unable to make the day please cancel your ticket so it can be designated to the next person on the waitlist.
Each child (under 12) participating must have a responsible adult in attendance to assist with practical fishing (minimum 1 parent per family group). DPIRD Fishing workshops are run with the assistance of Fishcare Volunteers supported with funds from the Recreational Fishing Trusts.
Please do not attend if you are sick or displaying any cold or flu symptoms.
