Overview
Doug Fir Day: FREE Holiday Holiday Wreath Making at the World Forestry Center
Come join us at the World Forestry Center for a fun-filled day of mini holiday wreath making, DIY ornaments, s'mores, cocoa, and forestry education! Get into the festive spirit by creating your very own unique wreath using materials sourced from Oregon's beautiful forests. Don't miss out on this family-friendly, hands-on experience that will bring local forests straight to your doorstep this holiday season.
Wreath making is free but donations are encouraged - all proceeds benefit the Talk about Trees forestry education program. Guests can also explore a free virtual reality experience that transports you through working forests, sawmills, and wildfire response activities, providing an up-close look at sustainable forestry practices across the state.
Wreaths are available while supplies last! Participants are asked to register for one of three wreath-making windows (10am-12pm, 12pm-2pm, or 2pm-4pm).Admission to the World Forestry Museum is free for the event! Grab a friend or family member and let's get crafty together! Wreath-making activities are outside(under shelter), so please dress warmly!
