Unreal Worlds and Unlikely Pairs

We welcome you to Books of Wonder for a very special double YA Launch event! Journey into the world of celebrity romance and drama with KAT CHO's Wish Upon a K-Star. Strap in for a tale of enemies to lovers set in the world of K-stardom. But that's not all! Get ready to dive into AXIE OH's latest release, The Floating World. Chock full of mystery, magic, and romance between the most unlikely of pairs, it's an epic fantasy you can't afford to miss.

Join us to discover:

The Floating World by AXIE OH: In the cramped, dusty dark of a land called the Under World, there is a man with no memories. A mercenary with nothing but a sword and a name: Sunho. And he’s just come across the score of a lifetime.

Far to the west, there is a mountain-dwelling acrobat named Ren with a past she wants desperately to forget. For the last ten years, she has lived happily with her adoptive family. But that all ends when a demon attacks, killing her foster father and grievously wounding her uncle. In a moment of rage, she releases a blast of silver light—a power kept hidden since childhood. The monster falls dead.

Determined to save her uncle from succumbing to the poisoned wound, Ren sets off over the mountains where the creature came from—and from where she herself fled so many years ago. It isn’t long before she meets Sunho and the two begin to travel together. Unbeknownst to him, he’s found the very thing that he and a hundred other swords-for-hire are looking for: a girl who wields silver light.

And as the two grow closer through their travels, they come to realize that their pasts and fates are far more entwined than either of them could have imagined.

Wish Upon a K-Star by KAT CHO: Marriage is hard. Fake, celebrity-marriage? Not so much. But fake, celebrity-marriage to your childhood enemy so you can save both of your reputations while trying to ignore the very real feelings that are starting to develop? Yikes.

Moon Minseok and Shin Hyeri knew (and hated) each other as children. Now, Moon – or Moonster, as his fans know him – is a member of the most popular K-Pop group in the world, WDB, and Shin is an up-and-coming K-Drama actress with the potential to make it to the top.

But fame can be fickle. Not only has Hyeri been (unfairly) labelled as a nepo-baby, but now, a bully (which couldn’t be further from the truth). Meanwhile, WDB is drowning in dating scandals and it’s up to Moonster to turn things around.

To save their reputations, the pair turn to one of Korea’s top variety shows, Our Celebrity Marriage, where they’ll have to pretend to get married and compete in newlywed challenges and, fingers crossed, make everyone forget about those pesky scandals. But what happens when they actually fall in love with each other?
