Dot by Dot: A Braille Adventure (K-5th)
Overview
A hands-on and unique learning opportunity!
Join us for a hands-on introduction to Braille as Lacey Downs from The Oklahoma Library for the Blind & Physically Handicapped demonstrates how raised dots help people read, write, and experience stories. Kids will learn the basics of the Braille alphabet, try fun tactile activities (even LEGO® blocks!), and discover how reading can be made accessible for everyone.
This event is exclusively for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Events often require a waitlist. Please inform the library at 354-8232 if your child is no longer able to attend. This will help us prepare the correct amount of materials or allow a child on the waitlist to attend.
