Description

Join Domtar and SCA on Saturday, June 16th to help restore Lions Park in Dryden, ON!

Domtar has joined forces with the Student Conservation Association -- an organization dedicated to developing tomorrow's conservation leaders -- to lead community service projects at Domtar sites across the US. Together, we will restore parks and other natural resources in locations where Domtar employees live and work.

Lions Park is a small forest preserve adjacent to the local Dryden High School; many students use the park trails on their way to school each morning. However, winter storms have left the park run down with brush to be cleared and low-hanging branches to be trimmed back from the trails. Volunteers will remove brush and trim back low-hanging branches along community trails in the park.

Bring the whole family as kids are welcome!

WHEN: Saturday, June 16th, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Registration & breakfast beginning at 8:30 am.

WHERE: Lions Park, 165 Arthur St, Dryden, ON P8N 1K4, Canada

WHAT: Volunteers will help to cut back low hanging branches, remove brush, and clear park of trash.

BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.

PROVIDED: Breakfast and lunch will be provided along with work gloves, safety glasses, and all project materials.

QUESTIONS: Contact Angela Madussi
