March 25th - MDOT - MBE Certification Overview

This class will go over an examination of the five eligibility standards, a review of the complete application process, an in-depth look at the Uniform Certification Application, and answers to the most common application questions.


April 22nd - Prime Contracting in the SBR Program

  • Over 20% of all open state-funded solicitations are designated to the Small Business Reserve (SBR) Program. This race and gender-neutral program provides prime contracting opportunities in an exclusive environment for qualifying small businesses. Every small, minority, women and veteran business owner that is ready to perform as a prime contractor should join this program. This class covers the program's eligibility standards, the online certification process, and the pipeline for identifying SBR opportunities.

  • Are you a veteran entrepreneur? Join us for a look at common procurement best practices, tactics, and protocols to assist subcontractors compete with greater confidence. We will also cover Maryland's Veteran-Owned Small Business Enterprise (VSBE) Program's eligibility standards, the 3-step certification process, and strategies to mine the state's open and transparent procurement pipelines.
