About this event
- Event lasts 2 hours
The requirements for documentation and recordkeeping in clinical supervision parallel those in counselling/psychotherapy. Clinical supervisors have an ethical obligation to document all clinical supervision activity from the point of initial contact through to termination of the supervisory arrangement. A clinical supervision agreement or contract contributes to the sense of connection and commitment between clinical supervisors and supervisees and establishes clinical supervision processes and practice parameters that are intended to safeguard the welfare of clients, supervisees, clinical supervisors, the counselling/psychotherapy profession, and the public at large. The agreement guides the collaboration between supervisees and clinical supervisors by outlining their corresponding roles, rights, responsibilities, and requirements, thus laying the foundation of the informed consent process (Falender et al., 2014). Other documents fundamental to supervision will also be presented.
