Documentary Premiere & Direct Action
By Chinook Justice
Overview
Join us for the premiere of Guardians of the Waters followed by a direct action calling on legislators to champion Chinook Justice!
Guardians of the Waters explores the deep connection the Chinook Indian Nation has with their homeland and their historic co-stewardship model with the Necanicum Watershed Council.
After the premiere, the filmmaker Amiran White will be joined by Chairman Johnson and Council Secretary / Treasurer Rachel Cushman to discuss themes of the movie and how the Chinook Nation's federal status is currently impacting the community.
Together, we will fill out and prepare postcards calling on our legislators to introduce and champion a Chinook Restoration Bill.
