Docu Lovers Club: Discussing great documentaries
Overview
ABOUT THE CLUB
If you love great documentaries and want to discuss them with others, we welcome you to our Club. We are a friendly, easy-going group who love to watch documentary films and talk about them. We strive to have engaging and intellectually stimulating discussions. We're here to learn, grow, broaden our horizons and connect with like-minded people. In 2025 we have some more great documentaries to watcha and discuss.
Our Docu Lovers Club will run monthly, online. It's open to all and you're welcome to join our sessions even if you haven't seen the film of the month.
ABOUT THE EVENT
We're saying goodbye to 2025 with the Take Care of Maya documentary (2023). It earned two nominations in the News and Documentary Emmy Awards in 2024: Outstanding Direction and Outstanding Research.
About the film:
As a medical team tries to understand 10-year-old Maya Kowalski's rare illness, they begin to question her parents. Suddenly, Maya is in state custody, and her family is desperate to bring their daughter home.
