Overview

If you love documentaries and want to watch more of them, this is the club for you. We're into enjoyable and thought-provoking doc films.

ABOUT THE CLUB

If you love great documentaries and want to discuss them with others, we welcome you to our Club. We are a friendly, easy-going group who love to watch documentary films and talk about them. We strive to have engaging and intellectually stimulating discussions. We're here to learn, grow, broaden our horizons and connect with like-minded people. In 2025 we have some more great documentaries to watcha and discuss.

Our Docu Lovers Club will run monthly, online. It's open to all and you're welcome to join our sessions even if you haven't seen the film of the month.

ABOUT THE EVENT

In November we're watching and discussing Walk with Me - a documentary film framed around Zen Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh and his Plum Village monastic community. This meditative film is an exercise in mindfulness and self-exploration.

Directed by Marc J Francis & Max Pugh, ‘Walk With Me’ is a cinematic and immersive exploration into the world-famous monastery of Zen Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh.

As Benedict Cumberbatch’s meditative voice reads extracts from Thich Nhat Hanh’s early journals, the daily routine and rituals of monks and nuns on a quest to develop a deep sense of presence, slowly unfolds across the four seasons.

With unprecedented access, this visceral film is an insightful rumination on the pursuit of happiness, and what it means to devote one’s life to mindfulness and living in the present moment – a welcome remedy to the stresses of a world in turmoil.

See you on 23 November, Sunday, 8:00 am PT / 11:00 pm ET / 4:00 pm GMT / 5:00 pm CEDT. You can use this link to check your local time and add the event to your calendar: https://dateful.com/eventlink/1344589238

We're looking forward to connecting and exchanging our opinions, insights, experience and knowledge on the subject of the documentary and everything related. Join the discussion!

Join us with your favorite beverage and bring a friend!
