Family Matters: Session 3 - Breaking Cycles: How Healing Shapes Relationships Across Generations

Join DOC Project for the third session of Family Matters: A Series on Healing & Peace, a community-centered conversation series focused on mental wellness, emotional growth, and healing across generations.

This session, Breaking Cycles: How Healing Shapes Relationships Across Generations, invites us to reflect on how our own healing can shape the way we show up for those who count on us for care, support, and guidance. Whether you’re nurturing others in your life, showing up for your family or community, or simply doing the work to grow and heal within yourself, this space is for you.

July marks National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to uplift the unique mental health challenges that impact Black and Brown communities. While many people quietly carry emotional burdens, the gap in mental health access and care remains wide—especially for Black adults and young adults, who continue to be among the least likely to receive the support they need. The need for honest conversations and collective healing has never been greater.

What to Expect:

🧠 Guided breakout sessions led by mental health professionals

🍱 Boxed lunch + refreshments provided

📝 Take-home journals for self-reflection

🎁 Gift bags for all attendees

👥 A welcoming, open space to listen, reflect, and connect

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
