DIYbio Incubator: Build Your Own Incubator
Event Information
Description
This 2 Part Workshop meets 8/22 + 8/23
6-9pm
The researchers of SANDS lab at Arizona State University designed a low-cost, yet relatively precise and easy-to-use incubator in order to support biology work in schools and makerspaces for a fraction of the cost of professional lab equipment. In this workshop participants will learn how to build a low-cost incubator including basic electronics and Arduino programming. We will also use our newly constructed DIY incubator to run an experiment!
An incubator is an essential tool for a number of biological experiments. Given the higher price range of the commercially available incubators (upwards of several thousand dollars), non-professional biology enthusiasts might not be able to add an incubator to their stock of DIYbio tools.
