DIY Soil Sampling - on farm workshop
Overview
Testing your soils is a vital way of targeting lime and fertilizer applications and is also a requirement of many Countryside Stewardship and SFI actions.
If you want to find out how to collect your own samples, prepare them for sending off to the lab, and interpret the results, come along to this workshop with soils expert James Bretherton.
The Farmer Network has purchased some handy soil augers that can be loaned out to help you take the samples quickly and easily.
Lunch will be provided after the demo, so please get in touch to book your place and tell us of any dietary requirements. Call 01768 868615 or email admin@thefarmernetwork.co.uk
With grateful thanks for funding from the Lake District National Park Authority, Farming in Proteceted Landscapes Programme.
