Can I do this if I have a mortgage?

Can I still live in my home if I do this?

Accepted Answer

A: Sorry No, this strategy ONLY works if you move out. The lease purchase or lease option process allows another person (the tenant/buyer) to move in while paying you a monthly lease payment-giving you income while your mortgage continues to be paid + paying you a hefty Down Payment/Option Payment.

When would I receive the down payment?

A: You’ll receive the down payment/option payment when your new tenant/buyer moves in, (so at "Move In"). That’s usually right at the beginning of the agreement, along with your first monthly lease payment.

Will I make enough to pay my mortgage?

If I did not want to do the work of this, could I pay to have this done?
