DIY Collagraph Printmaking
Overview
Join us for a FREE, Collagraph Printing Workshop at the Pittsburgh Center For Creative Reuse!
Learn how to turn reused materials into beautiful, textured prints using a simple DIY method! Collagraph printmaking is a unique printmaking method where printing blocks are made by collaging various materials, such as lace, cardboard, paper, and wire, onto a base. Participants will be able to make their own printing block and prints and will learn how to replicate these prints at home!
Creative Reuse is a supportive space, open to folks with any level of artistic ability. Our goal is to foster expression and creative community, not perfection. Just bring an open mind– we’ll cover the rest.
This workshop is a part of our Guest Teaching Artist workshop series! On the second sunday of each month we bring in a local artist to host a workshop sharing their specialty. This months' Guest TA is Basil (he/they).
Basil Wedig is an artist, musician, and educator based in Pittsburgh, PA. Basil works in a variety of mediums, including painting, printmaking, collage, and jewelry-making, and enjoys creating art inspired by nature. He is currently a Teaching Artist Intern with the Center for Creative Reuse!
