Diversity 2.0 - An Inclusive, Interactive Workshop
Event Information
Description
Many organizations want to do a better job of embracing diversity or practicing radical inclusion. Sadly, most corporate “diversity trainings” don’t really do justice for this important topic. And while many social change activists and personal transformation workshops can have a powerful impact, it’s not often that we get to look at our unconscious biases and acknowledge the reality that racism still exists in America today.
This workshop will be an opportunity to explore how we can bring more awareness and mindfulness around equity to our workplaces. You will leave with frameworks and tools that can be applied to your team, company, and life.
Because of the interactive, personal, and experiential nature of this workshop, please plan to show up on time and bring an open mind. There will be no PowerPoint and no live-tweeting - but you can expect substantive and meaningful interactions that will challenge your habits and expectations.
Whether you work at a startup or a big company, in a nonprofit or in the tech sector, you are welcome as long as you bring your whole self!
Proceeds after event expenses will benefit Digital Action Hub based in the Excelsior neighborhood of SF, helping bridge the digital divide for kids of color and City College students.
