2025 Diverse Voices in Docs Fellows

amaranta- dir/prod of We Are Seeds

Logline: We Are Seeds is a love letter to Michigan, its seasons, and its people who nurture their communities towards a sustainable future, through the lens of an Arab American environmental organizer experimenting with her home garden and a Mexican American artist creating her first film.

Mariam Atallah- dir/prod of Breaking Salt

Logline: Salt harvested in Siwa, Egypt is shipped across the world to melt snow on American roads. This documentary quietly observes the tension between where it's sourced and where it's used, revealing the unseen links between distant communities, and the shared weight of labor in a global system.

Obed Lamy- dir/prod of Untitled Haitiant Migrants in Springfield, OH

Logline: In small-town Ohio, young Haitian girls find joy, sisterhood, and a sense of home through dance—as they are forging their American dreams.

Myron Miller- dir/prod of Doors Off

Logline: Set against the backdrop of Chicago, Doors Off follows the Chi Wrangler Crew (CWC), a Black American car club led by educators and mental health providers. The film offers an intimate look at how CWC uses their beloved Jeep Wranglers not just for off-road adventures, but as symbols of resilience and belonging in a city marked by division.

Cherrelle Swain- dir/prod of Ancestral Healing

Logline: After generations of loss—from urban renewal to family betrayal—my family must confront what legacy means when inheritance has been stripped away. Through the lens of my great-grandmother’s life and the memories of her descendants, the film asks: when a matriarch passes, what survives, what disappears, and what can a family and community fight to restore?
