About this event

School Activities • Public Speaker

Come join us in Silsbee for Collaboration Day—a full day designed to connect, inspire, and empower educators. This event brings together teachers, coaches, and curriculum directors for meaningful conversations, engaging activities, and collaborative learning.

Our goal is to break down silos across districts and strengthen support for literacy instruction. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting your journey, you’ll leave with new strategies, valuable connections, and fresh motivation.

What to Expect

  • Classroom Observations: Begin the day by seeing effective practices in action. If you would like to join us for lunch and collaboration, join us at 11am.
  • Interactive Lunch Activities: Connect with peers from surrounding districts in a fun, informal setting.
  • Data & Feedback Sessions: Work with data specialists to discuss benchmarks and measure progress.
  • Curriculum Collaboration: Meet with our Reading Horizons curriculum team to exchange ideas and initiatives.
  • Workshops & Panels: Learn how to drive skill transfer—from isolated practice to performance on benchmark assessments.

Focus Areas

  • The importance of transfer and how to help students apply isolated skills to assessments.
  • District success stories: Hear directly from educators about what’s working in their classrooms.
  • Collaboration around shared challenges and solutions across districts.

Participation

  • Teachers, Coaches, and Curriculum Directors are welcome.
  • Limit: 3 participants per district (contact us if additional seats are needed).
