Welcome to Distinguishing Between Typically Developing English Learners (ELs) and Students with Reading Difficulties, a web‐based learning module created by SERC’s Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)/Dyslexia Initiative in collaboration with and via support from the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE).The intended audience for this professional learning opportunity includes general and special education teachers; teachers of English as a second language (ESL, TESOL), bilingual teachers, and EL tutors; directors and supervisors of special education; administrators; curriculum specialists, reading teachers, coordinators, and coaches; speech‐language pathologists, school psychologists and families.
