About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

This lecture will discuss disproportionate collapse in Category 1 and Category 2 Modern Methods of Construction. In particular, the lecture will discuss a lack of code structural design guidance as well as the testing and numerical modelling of hot-rolled steel corner supported volumetric modular (Category 1) and light-gauge steel panelised (Category 2) that is being undertaken at the MMC Research Group in University College Dublin. A brief background overview of MMC will also be provided.
