Discuss New Yorker Short Stories Meeting 5

By Alameda Readers Group

Overview

Let's meet and discuss fiction from the New Yorker magazine!

Let's get together and discuss 3 stories from recent issues of the magazine. If you don't subscribe, you can get the magazine online from your library using the "Libby" app or else listen to the podcast "The New Yorker - The Writer's Voice".

Stories for this meeting are: "Unreasonable" by Rivka Galchen (9/29), "Amarillo Boulevard" by Bryan Washington (10/6), and "Coconut Flan" by Catherine Lacey (10/13 issue).

We love if you read all three, but no judgment if you can fit in only one - all are welcome.

Please register to join us at the venue - registration is free. We will be sitting in the cafe in the back, or in the outdoor garden in back of the cafe. There is a small menu of snacks and beverages for sale on Saturday and sales benefit the Friends of the Alameda Library. I will bring a tray of cookies.
