Join us for an exciting in-person event presented by Mission Gait Foundation! This one day event is designed as an opportunity for lower limb amputees to explore skills and activities that are available and accessible, while coming together with caregivers and rehabilitation professionals so that everyone improves their capabilities and confidence. Experts will guide you through the basics of mobility - up to high level activity.

The afternoon will consist of multiple Breakout Sessions that will allow you to learn about and try recreational opportunities. There will be a variety of activities that you can join including:

Running Clinic
Pickleball
Golf Simulator
Sitting and Standing Volleyball
Adaptive Fitness Instruction
Flower Arrangment Clinic
Adaptive Cycling
Wheelchair Basketball
Outdoor recreation (Skiing, Fly Fishing, Kayaking, etc.)

There will also be a breakout session specifically for caregivers.

Morning Session: Community Education & Clinical Training

  • Physical Therapist-led lecture on clinical techniques and rehabilitation strategies for individuals with limb loss.
  • Hands-on labs with direct therapist-patient interaction for personalized learning.

Lunch: Provided for all attendees

Afternoon Session: Adaptive Sports & Community Engagement

Interactive sessions where amputees and clinicians test adaptive equipment provided by vendor sponsors.

Breakout sessions:

  • Caregiver Support Session: Focused discussions on emotional, physical, and logistical challenges.
  • Running Prosthetic Training: Hands-on training for individuals learning to run on a prosthetic limb.
  • Adaptive Fitness Training: Workshops on strength, mobility, and fitness adaptations.
