Discover & Explanation & Voila! with Howard Schatz
Overview
In this all new presentation, Howard Schatz will be discussing his numerous personal projects, where ideas come from, how he organizes and produces these bodies of work, and what he does with them.
Howard is much like Irving Penn; a prolific photographer who is constantly pushing his creative practice forward through his personal projects.Howard Schatz has had a long and remarkable career as a photographer, combining fine art and commercial work with equal success. In fact, his personal projects have become gorgeous coffee table books, 24 of them, with his newest book being PAIRS!
How does he do it? He’s always thinking, working, experimenting and inventing. There is no off switch on Howard's creativity. One of his lessons for students has been, ”I want to do everything!” And he kind-of has, and continues to do just that.
In this presentation, Howard will discuss the ideas and inspirations that lead to the creativity of the stunning images that have defined his remarkable career, such as the image here, one of his most recent, 'Ballerinas at the Last Supper’. He will also discuss how those images were executed. This talk promises to impart incredibly valuable lessons for any artist.
