Why Join the Disability StartUP Network?
Movements are born of community, thrive through community, and give back to community. Something that is evergreen and ever more important today. We know entrepreneurs fundamentally need networks and access to capital, and critically through developed networks entrepreneurs find early, transformational opportunities to access capital.
2GI was born through the undimmable entrepreneurial spirit of Founder Diego Mariscal and the collective will of literally thousands of partners, collaborators, friends, family, and entrepreneurs who gathered to define, refine, and uplift this shared vision. We are gathering again—with stakeholders across the world—as members of the movement accelerate our momentum, narrow in on important networking and funding opportunities, and recommit to building relentlessly, together.
May 2025 DSN Sessions:
May 5 — Building Your Team and Defining Your Role
Every entrepreneur is a leader, and every venture begins with a community. Join us as we open a peer-driven discussion on how Disabled Founders define their leadership styles, build collaborative teams, and grow ventures rooted in lived experience. Come share your insights — and learn from others — as we strengthen the disability innovation movement, together.
May 12 — Customer Discovery: Knowing Your Market
Customers are co-creators in innovation. In this discussion, we'll explore how Disabled Founders find their first customers, build trust, and adapt based on community feedback. Join us to swap strategies, share challenges, and connect through real-world experiences building disability-centered businesses.
May 19 — Business Money Basics: What You Need to Know
Financial fluency fuels impact. Together, we'll break down financial basics — from expenses to revenue models — and share practical advice for building ventures that are both sustainable and scalable. This is a peer learning space to ask questions, swap ideas, and build financial confidence as part of disability-driven entrepreneurship.
May 26 — Holiday Break!
June 2 — Always Be Pitching: Telling Your Story
Storytelling is an entrepreneur’s superpower. This session invites Disabled Founders to reflect on and refine how we share our ventures with the world — from quick conversations to formal pitches. Come practice in a supportive space, learn from your peers, and celebrate the stories fueling disability-led innovation.
Additional sessions to be announced!
