Disability Resource Symposium is collaboratively empowering caregivers. This annual free event brings together experts and organizations with decades of combined experience serving the local disability community to provide support, information, and connection for parents and caregivers. Come to connect, learn, and find support!

Where is parking?

Parking is generously made available in the Auto Die Parking Lot, which is accessed from Ottawa Ave. right next to City Hope GR on the north side.

How accessible is the space?

City Hope GR, a shared space with Monroe Ave CRC and YMCA was created using Universal Design. The space is accessible for wheelchair users, equipped with an adult changing table, push-button doors, wide entryways, and a calming room. Specific questions? Email disabilityresourcesymposium@gmail.com.

What about dietary needs?

Universal Design reaches our refreshment planning as well! We try to offer nutritious and delicious options for vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free eaters. We understand if you bring foods that work best for you. Specific questions? Email disabilityresourcesymposium@gmail.com.

Can I volunteer at the event?

We love adding to our partners in this event! It takes a couple of dozen people giving their time and abilities to make this event a success. Let us know if you'd like to support the event with your time and abilities. Email disabilityresourcesymposium@gmail.com and we'll get you started!

Do I need a ticket?

Yes. Though the event is free, we need to make sure attendees are registered, we have enough seats and refreshments, and our safety team is prepared for everyone. Families and groups can get tickets for the number of people attending.

Are there activities for children?

No. This is not designed to be an event that entertains children.

Are there door prizes?

Yes! Enter to win prize packages specifically created for families impacted by disability. Winners announced at the final session of the event.

Will there be items to buy?

Yes. Exhibitors may have items for sale, or sell subscriptions or other services. They may take cash or have other methods of payment such as Venmo, PayPal, or a credit card reader. Every family or group attending will receive a swag bag upon checking in, which has free items, coupons and flyers.
