On September 13, 2026, the annual Dinner in the Meadow will be held at the beautiful and bucolic Meadow Lane Farm in Louisburg, NC. The dinner is a fundraiser that supports the Leonard-Mobley Small Farm Fund, a non-profit organization that helps small farms in North Carolina. The fund was established in 2014 and provides grants to support the development and sustainability of small farms in eastern NC. It is named after Marjorie Leonard and Jerry Stephen Mobley, two influential farmers, who’s shared vision and commitment to local agriculture continue to inspire the work of the Fund. Proceeds from the event go towards a $5,000 grant awarded to applicants from eastern North Carolina. The award is intended to improve the operations of the recipient farm to ensure its continuation and long-term success.
