Dinner & Data Centers
Overview
Michigan residents are uniting against a proposed data center in Washtenaw County over serious environmental concerns.
This facility, to be run by OpenAI and Oracle, would consume massive amounts of water, threatening local water supplies. Even worse, its enormous energy needs would trigger a legal loophole, allowing DTE Energy to bypass state laws that require a transition to renewable energy, leaving the cost and environmental burden on our communities.
Help us encourage the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) to stop putting corporate profits ahead of community health and the environment and make a public comment. Well share a meal, learn about data centers together and prepare our statements alongside each other. Your voice matters and together we are stronger!
