Welcome to Dining with Diabetes!
Join us for a fun and informative series designed to help you manage diabetes through healthy eating and hands-on food activities. Whether you're living with diabetes or supporting someone who is, this program offers practical tools and delicious inspiration for everyone.


Workshop Schedule

Mondays | 10 AM – 12 PM
Dates: October 27, November 3, 10, & 17
Location: UF/IFAS St. Lucie County Extension Office, 8400 Picos Road, Fort Pierce, FL, 34945
Cost: $25 per person (includes all four sessions)

  1. Living Well with Diabetes: Making a Salsa Garden
    Learn how growing your own herbs and vegetables can support a healthy lifestyle—and make fresh salsa!
  2. Fats and Sodium: Making Your Own Seasoning
    Discover how to create flavorful homemade seasoning blends.
  3. Carbohydrates and Sweeteners: Canning and Preservation
    Explore the world of low-sugar jams and preserves while learning safe canning techniques.
  4. Putting It All Together: Food Demonstrations Using Local Crops
    Watch live cooking demos that bring together everything you've learned, featuring seasonal and local ingredients.
