Is there a fee for the workshop?

No. There is no charge for the workshop but advance registration is required.

Can children participate?

If you bring children with you, you will be responsible for them and they must stay with you throughout all activities. This is not an appropriate event for small babies and toddlers. There will be activities for youths in the youth area of the St. Helena Branch Library.

What about liability?

To participate, you must have your own personal liability insurance. The hosts and sponsors will not be liable for participants. By participating, you waive your right to any lawsuit against, hosts or sponsors of this activity or any other part of the 41st Annual Penn Center Heritage Days.

Ef hunnuh waan kno ef hunnuh da Gullah/Geechee, join Cultural Informaticist Dr. Ramona La Roche at the St. Helena Branch Library at Noon on Thursday, November 6, 2025 for "Diggin fa Hunnuh Gullah/Geechee Roots Genealogy Workshop" that will take place as part of the 41st Annual Penn Center Heritage Days Celebration.

This two hour workshop will begin with a lecture at Noon and at 1 pm participants will be able to work on their initial genealogy searches in the St. Helena Branch Library computer lab.
