Dig Deeper Wasatch Series: Grow Microgreens at Home!
Overview
Learn to Grow Microgreens at Home!
Growing microgreens at home is one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to produce fresh, nutrient-dense food year-round—no garden or special equipment required. These tiny greens and sprouts are packed with vitamins, minerals, and flavor, often containing higher nutrient levels than their fully grown counterparts. In just a week or two, you can harvest vibrant greens to add to salads, sandwiches, smoothies, wraps, soups, and more. In this hands-on workshop, participants will prepare their own growing trays, plant seeds, and take everything home to watch it grow. It’s a simple, indoor-friendly skill that fits into any lifestyle and is a great way for individuals and families alike to reconnect with where food comes from. Learning to grow even a small portion of your own food builds confidence, encourages healthier eating, and shows just how accessible home food production can be.
Dig Deeper Wasatch Yard and Garden Program brings together three educational partners that are experts in gardening along the Wasatch Front. In each class you will learn techniques and best practices on a wide array of topics while keeping water conservation and sustainability in mind. You will find there is something for all skill sets and interests.
